Job summary Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for nights at Purley Gardens Care Home. This permanent position offers a salary of £23.50 per hour. Main duties of the job Your role as a Registered Nurse involves leading the care team, distributing medication, managing chronic conditions, and advising families and GPs on any changes arising in residents' conditions. You'll deploy and supervise staff, ensuring all duties and care are administered correctly. Attention to detail in care planning is crucial for high standards. The position requires a caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable approach. A minimum of two years' experience in nursing and a First Level qualification with a current NMC Registration is necessary alongside strong interpersonal skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus asa Registered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions. Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care. Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care. Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

Our ideal candidatemust:
Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration. Demonstrate a minimum 2 years experience and up to date knowledge of care,supported by relevant post-basic studies/qualification. Display goodinterpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities. Have sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
