You as a mediator? Let's meet! We are looking for: Divorce mediators in Oosterhout Samen Uit Elkaar (SUE) Oosterhout is a program that focuses on communication between parents going through a divorce. It is based on the vision that problems for children can often be prevented when parents continue to communicate and are able to make good agreements regarding the children. SUE mediates between parents for whom this is not possible. The starting point during the mediations is the best interests of the child. Children do not choose the divorce and cannot choose between parents. What does the mediator do? - After consultation with the SUE coordinator and linking the case to "the specific case", the mediator schedules the meetings themselves. This allows you to manage your own agenda. - The mediator encourages cooperation between parents and the taking of responsibility towards the other parent during approximately 5 meetings. - After parents have shared their interests and the air has been cleared, the mediator provides tools to continue talking to each other and making agreements. - Sometimes parents are unable to engage in a conversation together; in such cases, the mediator acts as a coach to support one parent. - The mediator writes a brief report of the conversations. This ensures the mediator can always receive support from the coordinator. Who are you? - You are interested in people and what motivates them. - You have a positive attitude. - You can listen well without judging. - You can remain neutral without being biased. - You possess (basic) knowledge of divorce procedures. - You are capable of reflection. - You are eager to learn and have the time to attend a four-day mediator training course. - You possess a Certificate of Conduct (VOG).
