Main duties of the job At Avery Healthcare, Senior Care Assistants are integral to ensuring a nurturing environment, while supporting the care team in delivering high personal care standards. You will monitor residents' wellbeing, update care plans, and ensure personal needs are met. This role involves person-centred care planning, supporting medication requirements, conducting staff supervisions and assisting in staff development. You will also be a key contact for residents, their relatives, and health professionals, while escalating concerns or complaints as needed. ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:

Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff. Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Qualifications Essential

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes and at least two years of experience working in a similar care environment. The role requires effective communication skills both verbally and in writing and a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff. Responsiveness and flexibility are also necessary to cover a range of responsibilities as they arise.
