Main duties of the job As a Director of Clinical Services (Matron), you will:
Quickly understand the clinical challenges facing our hospital and build excellent relationships with internal customers and external bodies Ensure that we provide safe and effective care through a range of surgical and medical interventions Deliver effective operational management and inspirational leadership Be a role model for excellent clinical governance, providing strategy and direction for our hospital Champion improvements to clinical standards, care and service across wards, theatres, outpatients, pharmacy, radiology, imaging, cardiology and pathology Always be approachable and accessible to patients, relatives and colleagues

Our successful, purpose-built hospital deals with complex surgery supported by a Level 3 critical care unit covering a vast range of specialities such as: brain surgery, cardiac surgery, general surgery, orthopaedics and spinal surgery. In addition we offer a comprehensive diagnostic service including cardiology tests and interventions, diagnostic imaging - MR, CT, Mammography, Plain film and Ultrasound, fully equipped Physiotherapy department with gymnasium facilities
