Job summary
We are looking for a reliable friendly conscientious individual with excellent cleaning skills to join our team at a busy GP practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
10 Hours per week
Monday 6.00 am to 8.00 am
Tuesday 6.00 am to 8.00 am
Wednesday 6.00 am to 8.00 am
Thursday 6.00 am to 8.00 am
Friday 6.00 am to 8.00 am
Main duties of the job
Main duties include the cleaning of clinical and office areas of a GP surgery to a very high standard. Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
The right candidate will have:
Cleaning and sanitising clinical and non-clinical areas, including waiting rooms, consultation rooms, offices, and toilets Ensuring all areas meet hygiene and infection control standards Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately, including clinical waste (training provided) Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper Following cleaning schedules and checklists Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to management Requirements:
Previous cleaning experience preferred (ideally in a healthcare setting, but not essential) Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Understanding of health and safety regulations (training will be provided) Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy A good understanding of COSHH and the national colour coding system
Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures for infection control.
