Main duties of the job We are launching an ambitious and highly specialised service and are looking for an exceptional MND Specialist Nurse to lead the development of a brand-new 14-bed Motor Neurone Disease (MND) ward, alongside oversight of a bespoke 5-bed private rehabilitation unit.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape a service from the ground up ideal for a driven clinician ready to take the next step into leadership, innovation, and service design.

You will play a pivotal role in:

Designing and implementing a high-quality, patient-centred MND specialist service Leading the setup and operational development of a 14-bed dedicated MND ward Overseeing clinical standards and delivery within a 5-bed private rehabilitation unit Building, mentoring, and inspiring a multidisciplinary nursing team Establishing best practice pathways, policies, and patient experiences from day one Working collaboratively with consultants, therapists, and senior leadership

What you'll have:

Registered Nurse with significant experience in Motor Neurone Disease, neurology, or complex long-term conditions Proven leadership or senior clinical experience (e.g. Ward Manager, Clinical Lead, Specialist Nurse) Passion for service development and innovation Strong understanding of patient-centred care in both NHS and/or private healthcare settings Ideally, experience within private healthcare or rehabilitation environments A proactive, forward-thinking approach with the confidence to build and lead a new service A legal right to work in the U.K.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Registered Nurse with significant experience in Motor Neurone Disease, neurology, or complex long-term conditions
