About this role

Job summary

To support developments within the Emergency Departments at Eastbourne District General Hospital and Conquest Hospital, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust requires a further Consultant in Emergency Medicine. The post holder will assist in the provision of a high quality emergency service as part of the development of a multi-disciplinary team approach to care within the speciality in a Cross-site role.

Applicants must have full GMC registration and be on the specialist register or within 6 months of their CCT .

Main duties of the job

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust operates two level 1 emergency departments at Eastbourne DGH and Conquest Hospital with Conquest designated as a Trauma Unit.Applications are invited for the post of consultant in emergency medicine. The appointee will join the existing consultants to complete a team of 12 in the emergency department.

Duties will be Cross-site with a base of one of the sites with a 1 in 3 weekend. It is anticipated that when all posts are filled the timetabled PAs of all consultants will allow shop floor/Ambulatory cover for the following hours:-A rotation between 0800-00.00We are particularly interested in candidates who have commitment to all aspects of Emergency Medicine and are keen to develop their careers.

Registration/ Qualifications Essential
