Job summary
The post holder will run assigned recalls following agreed procedures and add data to patient records - including data quality checks and screening outcomes.
The post holder will be expected to book post-natal, baby checks, and baby immunisation appointments.
Working closely with the Administration manager and the team to ensure all tasks and duties are carried out in a timely manner.
Main duties of the job
Run assigned recalls to invite patients in for their relevant appointment/review, using patients preferred method of communication where possible, following the recall timetable and set protocols.Run NHS health checks via the Censura system and follow up non-attenders.Book appointments for post-natal, childhood immunisations, and baby checks following the practice policy and booking targets.Make telephone calls to follow up appointments and queries.Monitor cancer screening DNA's and take appropriate follow up actions, if required.Assist with booking patients who are overdue their smear, into Hub or Practice clinics.Be an active member of the cancer awareness team, assisting with displays across all sites.File normal smear results and action pathology tasks/recalls as per the rota.Update patient records to ensure an accurate summary is produced, including recalls, immunisation history, and screening results.Liaise with colleagues from other teams with regards to advice and support with coding.Monitor individual and group tasks and take appropriate actions.To scan patient correspondence to the computer clinical system and index to the correctly identified patient record.Take professional pride in the quality of your work and contribute to a positive and supportive team.Undertake internal or external training relevant to your role.Mentor and guidance for new members of staff.Participate in new staff inductions to provide an overview of the teams workload.
