Main duties of the job
As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will:
Work primarily as a scrub practitioner within Orthopaedics. Lead and mentor junior members of the team, deputising for the Lead Theatre Practitioner when necessary. Prepare operating and anaesthetic rooms for surgery as required. Ensure the highest standards of infection prevention and control are carried out. Assessing patient care requirements, implementing care, and evaluating outcomes.

Qualifications Essential
Be a registered Practitioner (RN or ODP)
Desirable
Post registration qualification as Practice Supervisor or Assessor Post registration qualification as Surgical First Assistant
Experience Essential
Post registration experience as a Scrub practitioner in Orthopaedics. Have experience in planning, organising and running lists within the theatre suite. Experience of supervising staff and scheduling operating lists Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
