Our customer is an international company active in the healthcare industry (medical devices) having its European headquarters based in Zaventem. Jobomschrijving As Payroll & Benefits Specialist , you are responsible for the full, accurate and timely management of the company's payroll administration for all employees, in full compliance with legal requirements and internal policies. You play a central role in optimising payroll processes, with a strong affinity for Compensation & Benefits , and actively contribute to broader HR projects. Key responsibilities:- Ensure the accurate execution of the monthly payroll cycle, including salary calculations, benefits, taxes and social security contributions. - Deliver ad-hoc reporting and analytics , providing detailed insights into payroll costs, HR trends and other key performance indicators. - Work closely with the external payroll provider (e.g. SD Worx) to guarantee a smooth and reliable payroll operation. - Manage and continuously improve processes related to leave, absences and employee benefits (insurance plans, meal vouchers, etc.). - Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll and benefits-related queries, with the ability to clearly explain payroll related processes. - Actively contribute to HR projects , including initiatives aimed at improving payroll and compensation efficiency and the implementation of new HR tools or solutions. - Ensure full compliance with social and tax legislation and promote best practices within the payroll function. The ideal candidate can demonstrate the following skills and experience: - You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field or equivalent by experience - You can demonstrate more than 4 years of experience in payroll management. Any additional experience with the UK, Germany, or the Netherlands payroll systems is considered an asset. - You have a very good knowledge of the Belgian social legislation - You are fluent in English and Dutch (both written and spoken), knowledge of French is an asset. - You possess good communication skills allowing you to clearly explain HR payroll related processes to varied stakeholders - You are customer oriented, can handle confidential information with the necessary discretion and enjoy working within an international and multicultural environment
