Main duties of the job As the Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in offering a variety of activities aimed at engaging and stimulating the residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being. Additional duties include maintaining a safe living and working environment, reporting changes in residents' conditions to relevant staff, aiding in preparing supplies, and establishing community links to foster intergenerational activities. The role demands an individual who is caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable, and is keen to provide quality activities for older people, especially those in a dementia care setting.

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be tosupportthe Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Maintaininga safe living and working environment,contributing to the positive and professional image of thehome. Reporting any changes in residents physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff. Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed. Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

Have effective communication skills, verbal andwritten. Demonstrate understanding of the role interaction plays in the general well-being of people. Have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.

Qualifications Essential

Ideal candidates should possess effective verbal and written communication skills, an understanding of the role interaction plays in general well-being, and a positive attitude toward the elderly. Experience in working with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting is required.
