You act as the bridge between regulatory requirements and practical engineering, translating detailed compliance requirements into actionable guidelines and working closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and project management teams - Product Safety & Compliance: Evaluate product concepts and designs against applicable safety standards, with a particular focus on the Machinery Directive and the Machinery Regulation - Risk Management: Lead and support risk assessments, implement risk reduction measures, and validate safety-related design solutions - Functional Safety: Drive functional safety activities, including safety-related control functions, and prepare the corresponding technical documentation - Design Review: Review detailed mechanical designs from a product safety and compliance perspective - Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact for compliance-related topics for internal R&D teams, project stakeholders, and external certification bodies - Documentation & Certification: Create, maintain, and review the technical documentation required for product safety files and certification processes Ihre Qualifikationen: - Machinery Directive / Machinery Regulation: Solid knowledge of European machinery safety regulations (required) - Mechanical Engineering: Practical experience in mechanical design and technical assessment (required) - Functional Safety: Hands-on knowledge of safety-related control systems and relevant standards (required) - Languages: Fluent German and English communication skills, both written and spoken (required) - UL Standards: Knowledge of UL 775 (Safety Standard for Printing Presses) (preferred) - Control Engineering: Basic understanding of or experience with PLC-based control systems (preferred) Über Hays: Our many years of recruitment experience and our expert knowledge of the engineering job market make us a strong partner for engineers and technicians.
