_Experienced Tailor _ *Sum Canada Enterprises Ltd* is one of the leading Canadian manufacturers of removable insulation products for the energy industry. Our company is known for excellent design, exceptional service, and an aspiration for improvement, which is complemented by ISO 9001:2015 certification. We are expanding our operations into new avenues, *looking to create new products*, and so need to find a creative and experienced tailor who can solve textile challenges in industrial applications.
*Requirements*
* Completion of a trade school certificate in tailoring, or equivalent * Experience of min. 3 years as an independent tailor in patternmaking, sewing complex structures and in complete production process. * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. * Experience with various industrial sewing machines and techniques is an asset, including: * - Single, double, and multi-needle sewing machines- Serger/overlock machines- Tacker/bartack machines- Automatic production methods and technologies * Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work effectively under tight deadlines.
* Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to *23 kg (50 lbs.)*.*Responsibilities*
* Create textile-based solutions for industrial applications and equipment. * Work closely with the design and production teams to discuss materials, technical solutions, and product improvements. * Identify opportunities to improve sewing methods, production processes, and overall product quality. * Build prototypes and samples and make adjustments based on testing and production requirements.
