Female Home Caregiver ? Bearspaw Community
*#1 AAA Homecare Services ? 2300945 Alberta LTD* is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced *Female Caregiver/HCA* to provide in-home care for a male client in a private residence in the *Bearspaw Community*.
This is a *contract position* with a split-shift schedule, ideal for someone who lives within a reasonable commuting distance of Bearspaw and is comfortable driving in rural/country conditions, including during the winter months.
Position Details
*Location:* Bearspaw Community, Alberta *Position:* Home Caregiver / Health Care Aide *Employment Type:* Contract *Wage:* *$20.00 per hour* *Schedule:* Monday?Friday
* *9:00 a.m. ? 12:30 p.m.* * *4:00 p.m. ? 7:00 p.m.* * *Total: 6.5 hours per day*
There may be an opportunity for *Saturday hours* as well, depending on the client's needs.
*Important:* The client's care needs may change over time. As a result, scheduled hours may *increase or decrease*, and the schedule may be adjusted to accommodate changing care requirements.
Responsibilities
The caregiver will provide compassionate, respectful assistance in the client's private home, including:
* Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living * Meal preparation and light cooking * Light housekeeping related to the client's care and living environment * Supporting the client's comfort, dignity, and independence * Following the client's established care plan and service requirements * Communicating appropriately with the client and homecare management * Maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful environment * Providing reliable and consistent attendance
Requirements
*Applicants must:*
* Hold a valid *Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate* * Be *actively registered with the College of Licensed Health-Care Professionals of Alberta (CLHA)* and maintain active registration * Be able to provide a satisfactory *criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Check* * Have reliable transportation and a *valid driver's licence* * Be comfortable driving to a country/rural location * Be fluent in *English*, both spoken and written * Have strong communication and interpersonal skills * Be dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining the scheduled hours * Have the ability to work independently in a private home
Preferred Candidate
The client has expressed a *preference for a female caregiver*.
Because this is a country location in the Bearspaw area, preference may be given to candidates who *live within a reasonable commuting distance*. Reliable transportation and the ability to safely commute during Alberta winter conditions are particularly important.
