*Overview* We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including heavy equipment.
*Duties*
* Safely operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. * Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. * Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. * Perform basic automotive repair and maintenance on the vehicle as needed to ensure optimal performance.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). * Familiarity with freight handling procedures and equipment operation, including forklifts. * Experience in operating heavy equipment is preferred. * Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus, enabling quick assessments of vehicle issues. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
