Job Description Job DescriptionThe Travel Consultant helps clients plan and book leisure, group, corporate, and specialty travel. This is a customer-focused role suitable for both experienced candidates and individuals looking to begin a career in the travel industry. No previous travel-industry experience is required. Training will be provided to the right candidate. Applicants should be comfortable communicating with customers, learning booking systems, and helping clients choose travel options that meet their needs and budget. Work permit holders who are legally authorized to work in Canada are welcome to apply. For eligible long-term employees, the company may also provide reasonable employer support or documentation toward applicable Canadian permanent residence pathways, subject to individual eligibility, government requirements, and company policy. Responsibilities
• Assist clients with flights, hotels, vacation packages, cruises, insurance, and other travel services • Understand client preferences, budgets, and travel requirements • Prepare and recommend suitable travel options and itineraries • Make and manage reservations using company booking systems • Provide accurate pricing, travel information, and documentation • Follow up with clients before, during, and after travel when required • Assist with changes, cancellations, and travel-related issues • Maintain accurate customer and booking records • Build strong client relationships and provide excellent customer service • Promote suitable travel products and services • Learn and follow TICO requirements, company procedures, and industry regulations • Work with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other travel partners Qualifications
• No previous travel-industry experience required • Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or office experience is an asset • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Comfortable using computers and learning new software • Good attention to detail and organization • Ability to multitask and work in a customer-focused environment • Interest in travel and helping people • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Knowledge of GDS systems, CRM software, or TICO regulations is an asset but not required.
