Lucha Libre Taqueria & Barra Mexicana is a vibrant and energetic Mexican restaurant inspired by the flavors, street food, and culture of Mexico. We are passionate about delivering authentic food, great hospitality, and memorable experiences in a fast-paced and fun environment.
We are looking for a Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate is hardworking, organized, and enjoys working in a busy kitchen. Availability during weekdays and weekends, including morning and evening shifts, is required.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and company standards * Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients * Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, sauté stations, and convection ovens * Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout the shift * Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory procedures * Label, date, and properly store food products * Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met * Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory * Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
Requirements
* Experience working in a professional kitchen environment * Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Ability to lift 40+ pounds * FOODSAFE Level 1 certification is an asset * Spanish speaking is considered an asset * Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Experience
* Culinary school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset * Previous experience as a Prep Cook, Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, or similar role preferred * Ability to multitask and perform under pressure during busy service periods
Compensation
Starting at $20.00 per hour, plus tips.
