We are looking for a Housekeeping Associates to join our team at the *Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott West Kelowna*
Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service * Clean all assigned guestrooms including: dusting, making beds, removal of linens from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies * Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment * Update and record all cleaned rooms * Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office * Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards, especially Worksafe BC policies regarding COVID-19. * Report necessary maintenance items * Follow all safety and sanitation policies * Sort all linens and treat stains * Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents * Take wet, clean items and dry as directed * Sort and fold or hang clean dried items * Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to Housekeeping supervisor. * Maintaining all laundry equipment and inform facilities manager as to any maintenance needs * Perform additional laundry services when necessary * Other duties as assigned
*Qualifications:*
* Excellent communication and organizational skills * Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities * Highly responsible & reliable * Minimum one year Housekeeping experience is required. * Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision * Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times * Ability to work weekends and week days an asset
*Physical Aspects of Position*
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:
* Constant standing and walking throughout * Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs * Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting * Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
