*Job Summary* Company is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to manage multiple machines and perform daily activities. Knowledge and understanding of Automotive Recycling Industry (Scrap Yard) and previous work experience in this field is an asset.
*Duties* - Heavy equipment operator for excavator's with thumb and attachments and mobile crane equipped with grapple + magnet - Operate excavators, crane, loaders, and other heavy equipment efficiently and safely - Must be physically fit to move quickly from machine - machine on uneven ground/ debris - Must be used to a fast paced environment - Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning - Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to meet project requirements - Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary - Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on their feet the length of the day - CAT Controls Only Available - Must be able to work independently and in a team environment - Maintain all safety standards - Must be able to follow instructions - Must arrive on time for daily shifts - Must have reliable form of transportation
*Experience* - 2 Years experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator is preferred - Prior experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation - Proficiency in operating equipment - Caterpillar machinery, cranes, and other construction vehicles - CAT Controls ONLY - Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation - Strong mechanical knowledge to handle basic repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment
