About this role
*Overview* Bursey Cleaners is seeking an experienced Building Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team for our HMP location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial cleaning and facilities upkeep, ensuring that our premises are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to maintaining a clean and welcoming facility.
*This is currently an evening shift from 4pm - Midnight Monday - Friday.*
*Duties*
* Perform thorough cleaning of all building areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces * Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as trash removal, floor care, and surface sanitization * Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely * Maintain cleanliness standards according to company protocols and safety guidelines * Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed to support overall facility upkeep * Ensure all cleaning activities are completed within scheduled timeframes and adhere to health and safety regulations
*Requirements*
* Proven experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance * Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills * Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods * Reliable work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety * Prior experience in facilities maintenance or related fields is preferred but not mandatory * A clear Criminal Records Check/ Letter of Conduct
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
