Nature & Scope:

Reporting directly to the Regional Supervisor, Cleaning, the Cleaner will work as part of a team that will consistently maintain a high level of cleanliness within the facility. The Cleaner will ensure that members have a clean and safe facility to enjoy all that the YMCA of Eastern Ontario has to offer.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure that all assigned areas are cleaned as per established protocols, monitoring all areas by walking throughout the facility regularly * Enter the change rooms on a regular basis for ongoing cleaning and to keep the supplies and equipment in good order * Know, follow and promote all established procedures and safety standards * Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services * Perform pool chemistry tests and record readings * Ensure good relations with YMCA staff, members, guests and the public * Lift and carry supplies weighing up to 40 lbs (18kg) as necessary and meet the physical demands of the role * Assist with coverage of shifts as needed

Qualifications:

* Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check completed not more than 120 days prior to date of hire, with results acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario * Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C
