This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects. The incumbent reports to the Director of Primary Care for the Region. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Experience in community needs assessment/development, health promotion- 2 - 3 years experience as a Primary Care Nurse or Nurse Practitioner preferred.- Three (3) years full-time experience as a Registered NurseEducation- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)- Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)Licenses- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)- Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C)- Valid Class 5 driver's licenseOther Education and Training- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or other trauma assessment course desiredKnowledge and Abilities- Knowledge in community development- Ability to competently use computers and software applications- Works well as a team member & mentor, strong leadership & interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as a leader of a multidi...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.
