Eastern Rural Zone invites applications for two (2) permanent full-time Family Medicine Physicians at the Placentia Health Centre in Placentia, NL.Placentia Health Centre is a 24-hour emergency Category B facility located along the southwest coast of the Avalon Peninsula, approximately 130 kilometres from St. John's ? roughly an 80-minute drive via the Trans-Canada Highway. The centre is also conveniently located minutes from the Argentia ferry terminal via Route 100.The successful candidates will be accountable for the provision of comprehensive health care services including family medicine clinics and Category B emergency room coverage, emergency care and patient transfer, an equal distribution of on-call responsibility in the local Category B emergency room, and long-term care inpatient duties and general practice clinics.Work EnvironmentPlacentia is a historic and welcoming community on the southwest coast of the Avalon Peninsula, offering stunning coastal scenery, a rich cultural heritage, and easy access to the natural beauty of the surrounding region.
