About this role
Job Description Job DescriptionABOUT EDUGLOBAL
EduGlobal is a Canadian education consultancy based in the Greater Toronto Area. We help Canadian citizens, permanent residents and protected persons access provincial student aid - including the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) - and enrol in approved programs at partner private career colleges across Ontario.
Most of the people we work with are mature students returning to education after years away from it: career changers, parents going back to work, people retraining into healthcare, business and skilled trades. For many of them, funding is the only thing standing between where they are and the program they want. Our job is to make that process clear and get them enrolled.
We work with nine partner colleges across Ontario and we are growing steadily. Marketing has been handled by an outside agency. We are bringing all of it in-house, and we are hiring one person to own it.
READ THIS PART FIRST This is a solo role. There is no marketing team, no junior to hand work to, and no agency behind you. Strategy, paid campaigns, filming, editing, posting, SEO, vendor relationships, reporting - all of it is done by you.
That is the job, stated plainly so nobody is surprised in week two. If you are looking for a position where you direct a team or manage vendors from a distance, this is not it. If you would rather own an entire function yourself, with nobody diluting your work and no approval chain between your idea and it going live, keep reading.
You will own this from day one. Campaigns do not pause while someone settles in. You take the accounts live, you keep the leads coming, and you build from there.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
PAID ADVERTISING - THE PRIORITY Our lead flow depends on paid. We need leads every day, and this is where they come from.
• Build and run campaigns across Google Ads, Meta and TikTok - all three live and running, not one at a time • PPC and performance marketing: you own cost per lead, cost per acquisition and return on ad spend • Test creative continuously, move budget toward what converts, and cut what does not • Manage landing pages and conversion paths so the traffic you buy actually converts • Keep our ad accounts healthy - you understand the policy landscape in education and student finance, you know what gets accounts restricted, and you know how to scale without crossing that line
ORGANIC - RUNNING IN PARALLEL, NOT AFTERWARDS
• Run our social media presence across platforms with a consistent, planned content pipeline • Own SEO for our website: technical, on-page and content • Build organic reach that feeds the paid engine rather than sitting separately from it • Maintain a content calendar you actually keep to, alongside the paid workload
CONTENT PRODUCTION - YOU MAKE IT, START TO FINISH
• Shoot the video yourself: plan it, film it, direct it • Edit it yourself at a professional standard - this is not a nice-to-have • Produce in volume, because creative testing needs volume • Publish, schedule and manage everything across channels
RELATIONSHIPS, REPUTATION AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Build and manage relationships with vendors, platforms, media partners and creators • Negotiate rates and hold vendors to what they deliver • Own our online reputation - reviews across Google and social, responses, and the practices that keep ratings strong • Identify new marketing channels and business opportunities and bring them forward with a case behind them • Support partnership and co-marketing conversa
