We are seeking a motivated Small Engine Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our customers? outdoor power tools, lawnmowers, and other small machinery operate efficiently and reliably. *Duties*
* Diagnose and repair small engines including lawnmowers and other outdoor power equipment * Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, blade sharpening, and part replacements * Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and welding techniques to complete repairs accurately * Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on small engine systems * Assist customers by explaining repairs and recommending appropriate maintenance or parts * Handle heavy lifting of equipment and parts safely to ensure efficient workflow * Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work meets safety standards
*Qualifications*
* Proven mechanic experience with small engines or automotive repair preferred * Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in electrical systems and schematics * Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair techniques * Ability to lift heavy equipment safely and work physically demanding tasks * Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery or similar heavy equipment is a plus * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly * Experience working with automotive or outdoor power equipment brands is desirable * Basic sales skills for recommending parts or services when interacting with customers
