Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Offshore. Tasks: Recommend measures to improve productivity . Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Oversee safety of operations. Prepare and submit reports. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Follow emergency and safety procedures. Supervision: Oil and gas well drillers, servicers, testers and related workers. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate. Field work location experience: Offshore or at sea. Area of specialization: Operations management.
