Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, including inspection, lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, and replacement of routine wear parts.
• Replace common mechanical wear components and assist experienced technicians with more complex repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common mechanical equipment issues with appropriate guidance and supervision.
• Assist with equipment diagnostics and communicate findings to experienced maintenance personnel.
• Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns and production support requests.
• Identify abnormal equipment conditions, including unusual noise, vibration, temperature, leakage, or operating conditions, and report them appropriately.
• Identify basic drive faults and communicate fault conditions to appropriate maintenance personnel for further diagnosis and repair.
• Demonstrate basic electrical safety practices and, when authorized and supervised, assist with replacement of electrical components.
• Develop and apply a basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment and recognize when PLC-related issues may be contributing to equipment problems.
• Safely interact with connected equipment and systems while recognizing when additional technical support is required.
• Follow all established safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, electrical safety, PPE requirements, and other applicable policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area before, during, and after maintenance activities.
• Clean equipment as part of maintenance activities and consistently support 5S standards.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner, documenting work performed, equipment conditions, parts used, and issues identified.
• Communicate equipment concerns, incomplete repairs, and follow-up requirements to the appropriate maintenance personnel.
• Work reliably as part of the maintenance team and provide support to production and other departments as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement and maintenance improvement initiatives.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position or Associates degree with a Technical focus and 1 years of related experience in general industry
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to use overhead crane to lift anything over 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass Forklift Certification process.
• Must have a customer focused, positive attitude with good communication and basic math skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Understands 480 wiring, electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs on these systems.
• Basic knowledge of machinists' math, heating and air conditioning, welding, and cutting.
• Able to proficiently use hand tools and specialized tools as needed. Ability to effectively use a PC, testing equipment, and sewer power rodder required.
Anticipated Wage Range: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, pay is based on experience, plus $1.50 shift premium
