In this role, you will operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) mills and lathes to produce precision metal components and ensure all products meet strict drawing specifications. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can recognize machining issues, make necessary adjustments, and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:
• Set up and operate multiple CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to produce high-quality precision metal components.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints to ensure accurate machining and production.
• Inspect finished products and components to drawing specifications utilizing measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Monitor machine operations, recognize machining issues, and make necessary adjustments to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform routine daily maintenance activities on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Maintain flexibility to handle rotating assignments based on production needs.
• Actively participate in training to expand your knowledge of Dixon products and manufacturing processes.
• Champion workplace safety by adhering to all protocols around heavy equipment and co-workers.
What We're Looking For:
• 2+ years of CNC Operator (Mill or Lathe) experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is highly preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in utilizing precision measuring tools, and a solid understanding of shop mathematics
• A reliable self-starter with a great attitude, excellent attendance, and a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to tasks. Must be a dedicated team player motivated by goal completion and producing quality work.
• Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift and the ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds over the course of the shift.
• Must be willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe shoes.
