KENT Nutrition Group, Inc., a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE™ family of companies, has an exciting opportunity for a Sanitation Technician at our Arcade, NY facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment that supports the production of high-quality feed products. We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence. This is a 1st shift position with an approximate schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., offering the opportunity to contribute to a team-focused workplace while supporting the success of our manufacturing operations.
• The compensation range for this role is $18.50 - $19.00, in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To assist the Quality Control Manager and Sanitation Supervisor in maintaining the Arcade facility in a clean, rodent and pest free state, while meeting or exceeding all standards of the FDA, USDA, NYS Ag. & Markets and all other regulatory certification and food industry agencies.
• Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of the finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor.
• Carry out daily cleaning and housekeeping assignments as per the Sanitation Supervisor and sanitation schedule in a safe, efficient manner.
• Fill in production positions when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow.
• Thorough understanding of cGMP's.
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
• Knowledge of FSMA.
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs. to a height of 48 inches continually for the assigned period.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
EDUCATION:
• High school diploma or GED.
