This position is responsible for assisting and providing care support for adults residing in the Fountains. Regardless of the role being filled, the position must demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that align with the values of Hilltop's ALCs, including Service 1, how we treat each other, and Service 2, how we treat our residents. Service 1 and Service 2 is demonstrated by setting boundaries, being predictable, consistent, kind, and transparent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES while working in a Life Enrichment Specialist role:

• Carrying out assigned activities safely and timely (to include, but not limited to room set up, activity set up and tear down, etc.).

• Organize and implement ongoing activities for residents in the Memory Care units, providing level appropriate services and behavior intervention as necessary.

• Plan and implement various activities for residents, in collaboration with Life Enrichment Managers, that challenge the residents' cognitive, social, and physical needs.

• Actively participating as a member of the Life Enrichment Department, providing input, attending meetings, evaluating, etc.

• Coordinating hospitality services for new and current residents at The Commons, The Fountains, and The Cottages (making and delivering welcome gifts to new residents, sending cards/flowers, coordinating birthday/anniversary celebrations, arranging memorial services, etc.).

• Facilitating and organizing activities in the evenings, weekends, and holidays as requested, managing time to effectively provide enrichment opportunities for multiple residents.

• Facilitating scheduled fitness classes, adhering to curriculum set forth by the Life Enrichment Director.

• Transport residents to various planned outings, and/or assist the driver with loading and unloading.

• Utilize various techniques and tactics to engage residents in daily activities requiring direct and demonstrative communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES while working in a Transportation Driver role:

• Properly secure and transport residents to various appointments such as doctor, hospital, employment, shopping, etc., ensuring residents arrive safely and in a timely manner.

• Properly transport equipment needed by residents, such as wheelchairs and walkers.

• May accompany residents to appointments and act as a communication liaison between the resident, provider, and health services.

• Remind residents and assist residents as needed to prepare for upcoming transportation times, locations, and specifications, coordinating resident load times.

• Perform routine vehicle safety inspections and regularly clean vehicles as needed.

• Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to the supervisor or Hilltop's Corporate Transportation/Warehouse Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES while working in a Support Services Specialist role:

• Act as the first point of contact with all phone and walk-in traffic.

• Answering and transferring phone calls using multi-line phone system.

• Generate purchasing documents for program purchasing weekly and as needed.

• Order office and program supplies to adequately maintain inventory.

• Conduct program shopping either in person or on-line.

• Responsible for daily entry of Work Orders into maintenance system and clarify requests as needed.

• Provide administrative support to Commons or Fountains Leadership and staff for copy projects, maintenance work orders, mail, paychecks, etc.

• Handle all inquiries.

• Handle incoming and outgoing mail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES while working in a Server role:

• Accurately take food orders, submit orders through the point-of-sale system, and serve when order is ready.

• Clear dishes from tables during and after each meal.

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum the dining area after each meal, empty trash receptacles.

• Clean, sanitize, and safely store dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, bus tubs, etc.

• Inspect and maintain proper chemicals for the dishwasher.

• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments.

• Ensure food storage, food handling, and supplies meet all Mesa County and State of Colorado Health Department regulations.

• Paying attention to the par levels of the food and restocking products as necessary.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Open flexibility to meet Program shift needs.

• Regular attendance/punctuality.

• Participate in assigned meetings, team meetings, and trainings as scheduled.

• Cooperate with others.

• Complete required documentation promptly, accurately, and legibly.

• Be completely honest.

• Understand and comply with all Hilltop, ALC, and State and Federal rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), plus six months of related work experience or on the job training. Minimum 21 years of age required.

• Valid Colorado Driver's License (required)

• Food Handler's Card (required)

• American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Training (preferred)

• De-Escalation Training (preferred)

• Hilltop's Transportation Certification (preferred)

• The starting wage range for this role is $17.85 to $18.74 per hour.
