About this role

Reporting to the Clinical Care Manager, the CSOA is responsible in assisting with various duties needed to effectively carry out the daily functions of a clinical office. The CSOA will perform these duties while maintaining compliance within their scope of practice as certified nursing assistants. Provides support to the Clinical Services department as a whole, including the DOCS, ADOCS, CCM, CCMA and field staff, through various tasks. The CSOA is responsible for maintaining his/her own clinical and mandatory education requirements and for meeting the established standard of their profession as well as those accountable for his/her practice, assigned duties/indirect patient care, and is an advocate for patients/families and their profession. The CSOA promotes an environment of care while supporting the organizational vision and mission.

SHIFT: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of One (1) year experience in coordinating and carrying out clinical type office tasks preferred.

• Experience in medical office or healthcare environment.

• Experience caring for others with life threatening illness preferred.

• Customer service experience and familiarity with Microsoft Teams/Outlook/Excel is desired

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Forms:

• Managing form area of office for staff use.

Supplies:

• Managing clinical and office supplies for staff use. Ordering, organizing and maintaining.

• Checking expiration dates and quality controls.

Mail:

• Separate and deliver mail to respective locations within the care center.

• Update mailboxes as needed.

Phones:

• Answer and forward phone calls to the appropriate location/person.

Office Supplies:

• Manage ordering and stock of Office Supply items for respective location.

• Change ink toner as needed in copiers for respective location.

Office Safety checks:

• Managing Biohazard drop off log, CEMP book, maintaining patient paper files

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Possess the ability to multi-task; exhibit adaptability and flexibility in meeting Gulfside Healthcare Services objectives.

• Ensure compliance with all patient care and documentation standards and regulations.

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the policies and procedures of the clinical department; adheres to and assists in the evaluation of the same.

• Assist in maintaining federal and state regulatory compliance.

• Proficient in Electronic Medical Records, emails, and basic computer knowledge.
