General Purpose & Essential Duties:
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the overall sales efforts for both Residential and Commercial/Small Business customer verticals within their assigned territory. This role is accountable for developing and executing sales strategies, managing a team of sales professionals, achieving growth targets, and ensuring excellent customer experiences. The Sales Manager aligns departmental goals with company objectives and plays a key role in sustaining Guardian's strong market presence.
• Achieve growth and meet or exceed monthly residential and commercial sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
• Hire, train, mentor, and manage sales representatives in both Residential and Commercial/Small Business segments.
• Organize and oversee schedules, territories, and performance of sales team members.
• Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations; handle employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policy.
• Provide leadership that motivates and encourages the sales team to consistently achieve quotas.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand Guardian's customer base and strengthen its market presence.
• Review and analyze sales reports; use data to forecast, set targets, and identify new markets and customer preferences.
• Consult with potential customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate equipment, products, or services.
• Ensure execution of sales strategies, promotional programs, and contests in line with annual objectives.
• Collaborate with VP of Sales on setting sales quotas, developing budgets, and creating retention programs.
• Monitor and approve departmental expenses.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and community networking opportunities.
• Resolve customer complaints and operational issues to ensure efficient and positive sales operations.
• Identify market trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive activity; provide insights to leadership for strategic planning.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related field, OR equivalent work experience.
• At least 3–5 years of sales leadership experience in a service-based industry.
• Proven success in both residential and/or commercial sales leadership roles.
• Consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience in mentoring and developing sales professionals.
