About this role
The Competition Services Crew II leads all on-hill closures and protection for any competition. They will serve as the course crew during events and provide support in all on-hill events throughout the winter.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Set up, maintain and tear down of all safety netting for events
• Set up, maintain and tear down of all closures for events
• Maintain event surface and grounds to the highest standard with appropriate equipment
• Transport all supplies and equipment needed for any on-hill event
• Sets up timing equipment and checks wiring for timing and communications
• Helps Set-up and dismantle racecourses as needed
• Manages gate inventory and rebuilds supplies as needed
• Accurately record and transmit race results to Live Timing and Split-Second timing
• Organize and prepare timing equipment for the following race/special event
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
• Familiar with various ski race equipment, such as timing, dye packs, gates, netting, shovels, and rakes
• Experience working on a team
• Ability to carry heavy race equipment while skiing without using poles
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and nights
• Be able to ski and be comfortable carrying equipment while skiing
• Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching
• Possess strong verbal communication skills and the ability to hear and respond to instructions, inquires, and information
• Can lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Have strong vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as needed
