About this role
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
• Operates tools and machinery within the repair shop to provide ski and snowboard repairs, waxing, mounting, and boot work
• Assists rentals in providing guest services related to the proper selection, fitting, renting and selling of a variety of winter sports equipment and accessories
• Maintain high level of attention to detail and safety
• Preform maintenance on ski and snowboard gear
• Fit Boots, Skis, Snowboards and/or Poles to guest satisfaction
• Ensure guests are well-equipped for a day on the mountain by providing them with helpful direction.
• Remain current on new industry products and trends while demonstrating knowledge of products
• Demonstrate proper knowledge of company cash handling policies and procedure
• Maintain rental fleet and inventory accountability
• Assist with tracking equipment and inventory regularly
• Assist management with prevention of theft, both internally and externally
• Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO THE JOB?
• Experience and ability work with powered machinery and tools in a safe and professional manner
• Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures and manuals
• Drive in accordance with the law and Snowbasin Resort policies; safe driving record
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT?
• Cash handling experience
• Knowledge of current industry products and trends
• Advanced ski/snowboard level
• Experience with equipment tuning and repair
• Experience with power machinery and tools
