About this role
We are looking for a Specialty Accounts Specialist to join our Deposit Services Operations team at Bridgewater Bank (St. Louis Park, MN). Reporting to the Sr. Specialty Accounts Specialist, the Specialty Accounts Specialist will support the Bank's client-facing commercial and consumer specialty account offerings and related applications, including IRAs, Trusts, Estates, Young Investor, UTMA, POA, 1031 Exchange, TIMBR, and Wholesale account openings. The role completes specialty account transactions and document reviews, responds to service requests, maintains accurate records and procedures, and escalates exceptions or complex issues to the Sr. Specialty Accounts Specialist.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process IRA transaction review, approval, death claims, and related maintenance in accordance with established procedures and approval requirements.
• Complete annual IRA year-end and Form 5498 reporting tasks as assigned, including research and correction of identified exceptions.
• Research IRA transaction issues and escalate complex, recurring, or higher-risk matters to the Sr. Specialty Accounts Specialist.
• Monitor and respond to specialty account requests received through the Deposit Services Operations inbox within established service expectations.
• Support specialty account document reviews for Trusts, Estates, UTMA, POA, Young Investor, and other assigned account types.
• Provide operational support for 1031 Exchange (CPEC) relationships and TIMBR services.
• Review UTMA reports and assist with account transitions when custodial accounts reach the applicable termination age.
• Support the opening, maintenance, and closure of Wholesale accounts
• Assist with testing and implementation of activities for new or enhanced specialty products, services, systems, and procedures.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and client service.
• Assist with Deposit Services communications as assigned.
• Provide cross-functional backup support and perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3+ years of retail banking, deposit operations, or related financial services experience.
• Experience with specialty deposit accounts, IRAs, fiduciary accounts, or account documentation preferred.
• Knowledge of deposit operations, client documentation, and transaction processing controls.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures, exercise sound judgment, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The typical hourly base pay range for this role is between $27.70/hour - $29.00/hour. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
