Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Corporate Environmental Compliance Strategy:
• Identify and implement environmental compliance and ESG best practices across the organization.
• Align environmental compliance and ESG programs with business objectives and operational goals.
• Support site environmental compliance needs and promote environmental compliance awareness.
• Lead cross-functional environmental and ESG committees and initiatives.
Environmental Management:
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental laws, codes, standards, permits, and reporting requirements (e.g., air, water, waste, hazardous materials) that apply to manufacturing facilities.
• Maintain records and logs necessary to verify compliance.
• Provide oversight of Blommer operations ensuring all regulatory obligations are fulfilled timely.
• Ensure proper permitting of new equipment installations, equipment modifications, and/or manufacturing process changes that affect current permit limitations. Drive timely completion of CAPA, ensuring robust root cause analysis and effectiveness verification.
• Contribute to the implementation of a CAPA tracking system to streamline workflows, improve reporting, and strengthen compliance oversight.
• Analyze CAPA data and environmental metrics to identify trends, recurring issues, and systemic risks.
ESG:
• Assist with development and execution of corporate ESG initiatives at plants and ensure alignment with Blommer and Fuji Oil's environmental goals.
• Identify and support projects that reduce energy use, water consumption, waste, and emissions across all sites.
• Track and report ESG metrics, supporting internal dashboards and external customer or ESG reporting needs.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to identify and implement resource‑efficiency measures and cost savings through sustainable practices.
• Promote environmental stewardship and integrate ESG into daily operations and decision‑making.
• Facilitate ESG audits evaluating Blommer's environmental impact, energy efficiency, waste management, and social responsibility to ensure compliance with regulations and ESG goals.
Auditing & Reporting:
• Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and present performance reports.
• Maintain documentation for regulatory inspections and certifications.
Environmental Compliance Training:
• Develop training programs for employees and contractors.
• Promote a culture of compliance through communication, recognition, and engagement.
• Support emergency preparedness and crisis response planning.

Physical Requirements:
• General office environment with majority of time using computer
• Regular exposure to plant floor, including noise, dust, and variation in temperature (hot/cold)
• Requires frequent travel (approx. 30%)

• Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and code of conduct
• Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear
• Comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures including lockout tag out, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP and Allergen

Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in engineering, environmental science or related experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
• Demonstrated team leadership experience
• Managerial and organizational skills are essential
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite and enterprise resource management systems (ERP)
• Expected to identify, communicate/escalate, and problem-solve as issues arise
Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field

Pay Range: $135K-170K
