ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Ability to learn, understand and perform industrial hygiene monitoring; safety related audits; environmental regulations and related activities as directed by the EHS Manager

• Assist with and document the required safety and environmental compliance documentation for all subsidiary company sites (assist with other sites as needed and directed)

• Conduct periodic audits of EHS site documentation or Environmental Management System(EMS)

• Be able to work extended hours and/or any of the shifts for training, consultation, industrial hygiene monitoring, accident investigation and emergency notification

• Conduct environmental sampling, if necessary, at various sites with an understanding of environmental laws, requirements and environmental systems that protect the company

• Conduct EHS training to managers and co-workers as necessary to ensure compliance with internal procedures or EMS.

• Work with supervisors to help them better understand their role in safety. This includes how to look at the work and those doing the work to remove unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors, identification of procedures that are unsafe and help their staff better understand a proactive safety culture.

• Oversee, track to completion, corrective actions derived from audits, risk assessments, safety suggestions, incident reports or internal audits to ensure completion

• Work in conjunction with the training coordinator or trainers to be a big part of the new co-worker safety orientation.

• Teach new people the importance of our safety-first culture as part of our company.

• Follow up on safety training with new and existing coworkers incrementally for their first year and periodically thereafter.

• Conduct direct safety training and shop talks around safety initiatives to ensure all coworkers understand the initiative and training needed to work safely. Much of this may one on one training at the coworker's workstation.

• Support and enhance the site's safety committees to grow, change and become actively part of the safety culture at McDonald Plastic Molding

• Assist the EHS Manager, Plant Manager, VP of Operations and President with risk management objectives

• Assist in the creation of thorough, accurate and applicable EHS procedures

• Provide appropriate updates and reports to the management team as necessary

• Support and enhance the safety culture of the company via co-worker interaction and promoting safety as the number 1 importance of the company

• Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position or as assigned by the EHS Manager

• Work with the training coordinator to improve and then help with the implementation of new safety training programs.

Environmental Management Systems (EMS):

• Develop and manage internal audit programs and compliance tracking systems for environmental standards.

• Manage environmental compliance requests, including USMCA, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, PFAS, and other regulatory obligations.

• Support Waste Management initiatives

• Sustainability Initiatives (Recycling Programs, Energy Reduction, and Environmental Reporting)

• Oversee supplier environmental requirement compliance.

• Develop a Scope 3 CO₂e monitoring system for emissions tracking.

• Maintain EMS-related records and manage record retention processes.

Safety Management:

• Manage OSHA Compliance

• Perform Risk Assessments and job safety analysis

• Incident Investigations and Corrective Actions

• Training and Development (LOTO, Chemical Handling, Forklift Safety, PPE, and Emergency Response)

• Air Quality Monitoring

• Noise Monitoring

• Manage retention of safety records in compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
