About this role
As a Heat Exchanger apply expertise to solve technical problems relating to any of the company's enterprise activities. Work on problems, designs, projects, and occasionally may review or coordinate work performed by others.
Duties & Responsibilities Formulate the basis for the resolution of problems in a basic or special discipline by analyzing and evaluating all pertinent data with respect to scope, effect on existing installations, economic impact and other applicable considerations. Act as liaison with engineers, operations, and others to discuss existing or potential repairs, improvements or modifications internally and with external service providers Assist in the development or scouting of new/modified/improved technologies aimed at mitigating specific equipment failure modes Inspect and observe manufacturing facilities to ensure conformance to design, equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards Contribute and support predictive & preventative maintenance programs involving the use of heat exchangers within facilities. Perform work to develop or review key mechanical packages associated with capital or technical proposals and proposed projects for expansion or maintenance. Assist in developing corporate and industry standards within specific technical expertise. Participate in cross-functional teams to complete field failure analyses including identifying corrective actions as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or 7 or more years applicable professional experience. Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices including scientific and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and codes.
Experience with API, ASME, NFPA, ANSI codes and standards. Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly and concisely in English at a level required to perform the job as outlined. Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standards.
