About this role

Keep products moving and customers supported with State Electric Supply Co. as a Wire Cutter in Gastonia, NC.

Our Wire Cutters play an important role in both warehouse operations and the customer experience. You'll help receive, organize, prepare, and distribute inventory while also assisting customers with product selection and sales. It's a hands-on role that combines warehouse activity, product knowledge, customer service, and teamwork to help keep the branch running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Monitor, organize, distribute, and maintain inventory throughout the branch.

• Assist customers with product selection and help identify the materials they need.

• Sell products and provide friendly, dependable customer service.

• Build positive relationships with customers through helpful and professional interactions.

• Assist with shipping and receiving products and materials.

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Check in merchandise and verify incoming products.

• Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established product codes and organization.

• Prepare parcels and materials for mailing or shipment.

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment after completing required training.

• Support additional branch responsibilities as needed to help the team meet customer and operational needs.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous warehouse or related experience is preferred, but not required.

• Ability and willingness to complete training to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and organization.

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

• A customer-focused attitude and willingness to help solve problems.

• Dependability and flexibility to support different areas of the branch.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Interest in learning electrical products and building industry knowledge.
