Position Summary:
ARCH-Minneapolis is looking for motivated Deburring Technician to join our team! Looking for team members to join on our day shift. Multiple opportunities to learn and grow with us.
Cleans, deburrs, polishes or grinds items of metal.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Uses a variety of hand and power abrasive brushes, fixtures, work instructions, tools, and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly debur, assemble, grind, buff, polish small precision machined components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
• Performs finishing department tasks, including but not limited to bead blasting and tumbling
• Follows detailed product cleaning instructions, processes, and procedures, including cleaning the interior surfaces of holes in the product.
• Applies abrasive compound, wax, or other dressing to facilitate cleaning or polishing operation.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; reporting needs for wash tanks.
• Report problems with processes, equipment, and material to Deburring Lead and/or Production Manager.
• Changes tools on powered equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Due to contractual requirements, this position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of 1 year of experience deburring (microscope experience a plus)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and creates a safe work environment.
