About this role
St. Joseph School Cockeysville is seeking an experienced, part-time Math Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful applicant should demonstrate a strong knowledge of mathematics instruction and have teaching experience in a PreK-8 environment. Responsibilities include assessing instructional strategies, evaluating curriculum, and ensuring that students reach their full potential, particularly those who require advanced or remedial instruction. Additionally, the candidate must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent time management and organizational abilities. This is a part-time position, with a work schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Essential Functions
• Implement the mathematics curriculum.
• Provide small-group instruction to elementary students to increase math fluency.
• Maintain effective classroom management and perform all duties assigned to this position.
• Participate in all faculty meetings and school activities.
• Collaborate with school leadership and faculty to foster a positive school culture throughout the building
Position Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• MSDE certification required.
• Knowledge of technology integration and its effective use in the classroom.
• Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods and strategies, and differentiated instruction.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.

Pay Range: $20,000 - $40,000, Annualized
