• Development of drive and controls technology for equipment technology
• (Re-)engineering of control technology for (existing) machines
• Developing concepts in the field of control technology while taking global architectural requirements into account
• Creating and evaluating requirements and specifications for control and drive technology, as well as control software (PLC)
• Developing the system architecture, including software design, selecting the necessary drive controllers, defining interfaces, and developing safety and operating concepts
• Defining technical specifications and framework conditions for internal and external development partners, creating work packages, and overseeing their implementation
• Supporting projects with questions regarding automation and drive technology
• Commissioning, evaluating, accepting, and further developing work delivered by suppliers
• Preparation of control specifications and protocols, as well as testing of modules
• Conducting software reviews for requirements analysis and software design
• Design and modeling of control loops with a focus on high-precision positioning accuracy
Your Profile
• A degree in control and drive engineering, automation engineering, control systems engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field
• Relevant experience in the development of automation, control and drive technology, as well as—ideally—software projects (including TIA Portal)
• Knowledge of programming, diagnosing drive systems, and the system architecture of motion controllers (e.g., SINAMIC, Simotion, Sinumerik, and others)
• Strong skills in the design of control loops
• Knowledge of safety requirements for machines (development and verification)
