ABOUT THE ROLE This temporary position will support increased staffing needs during the holiday season.

The Member Services Representative, Membership, will assist in the High Museum of Art’s Call Center in customer service and membership efforts.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

HOURLY RATE: $15 WHAT YOU WILL DO: Membership Sales & Customer Interaction (40%)

• Promote membership sales through inbound and outbound calls

• Meet monthly sales goals established by Director

• Answer member and non-member calls; assist with inquiries and issues

• Communicate accurate and timely information to members and the public about exhibitions, special events, programs, lectures, films, etc

• Respond to questions regarding current membership promotions

Communication & Product Knowledge (40%)

• Learn and maintain proficiency in Tessitura

• Provide feedback to supervisors on promotions, member concerns, and program effectiveness

• Stay informed on internal materials (manuals, HIGHLife/HMA Magazine, etc.) as well as daily instructions from supervisors

• Demonstrate professional courtesy to colleagues and consistently practice proper phone etiquette

Administrative (20%)

• Maintain appearance and organization of the Member Services Support Line area; ensure brochures and information are current and well stocked

• Assist supervisor with mailings, ticket orders, and related administrative tasks

• Coordinate with supervisor to arrange coverage when requesting time off

• Contribute to a team-oriented customer service environment

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of customer service and/or sales experience

• College degree preferred but not required

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred

Language Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions provided in written and verbal formats

Mathematical Skills

• Utilize basic math skills to accurately process membership sales, calculate discounts, verify payments, and maintain accurate transaction records.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

• Some standing, walking, bending, frequent use of hands, stooping and light lifting (up to 10 pounds)

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
