About this role
Position Summary: This phone-first sales role drives AIM iQ adoption, signing distributors onto the platform and expanding their usage over time. You will work from provided call lists that include existing members, lapsed and cancelled accounts, and new prospects. You will make the outreach, get distributors set up on the free AIM iQ Starter tier, walk them through the technology so it becomes part of how they work every day, and upgrade the right accounts to a paid tier.
You are equal parts salesperson and guide. Some calls are about opening a door and creating interest. Others are about showing a distributor who is already on the free tier why the paid version pays for itself. Success looks like activated accounts, engaged users, and a steady stream of upgrades.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Work through call lists of existing members, cancelled and lapsed accounts, and prospects to introduce or re-introduce distributors to AIM iQ.
• Onboard distributors onto the free AIM iQ Starter tier and walk them through the platform so they understand how it fits their business.
• Run live product walkthroughs and demos by phone and screen share, tailoring the conversation to the distributor in front of you.
• Identify the right accounts to upgrade and make the case for moving from the free Starter tier to a paid tier with expanded access.
• Follow up consistently across the sales cycle, keeping accounts warm and moving them toward activation and upgrade.
• Win back cancelled and lapsed distributors by understanding why they left and showing what has changed.
• Keep clean, current records of every touch, account status, and next step in the CRM.
• Hit and exceed activity, activation, and upgrade targets.
• Share what you hear on the phones back to the team so we can sharpen the pitch, the product, and the process.
• Travel periodically for industry events, member visits, and team meetings up to 20% of the time.
Other Duties:
Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Knowledge and Experience:
• 2+ years in a phone-based sales, inside sales, or account management role, ideally selling software, a platform, or a service on a recurring basis
• Comfort making a high volume of outbound calls and staying resilient through a full pipeline
• A natural ability to explain technology in plain language and get people comfortable using it
• A track record of upselling or upgrading customers from a free or entry tier to a paid plan
• Familiarity with CRM tools and a habit of keeping your pipeline clean
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office a plus
• Experience in the promotional products industry or an adjacent distribution or wholesale business a plus
Core Competencies:
• Genuine consultative instincts, you listen first and match the solution to the need rather than reading a script
• Confidence handling objections, especially from cancelled or skeptical accounts
• Strong organization and follow through, you do not let accounts slip through the cracks
• Comfort working independently in a remote role while staying connected to the team
• Willingness and ability to travel within the US as needed
• Positive, professional, and adaptable demeanor
Education and Training:
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, communications, or related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
