Main duties of the job The Clinical Advisor role at IC24 requires registered Nurses or Paramedics with two years of recent experience in primary care or Emergency Department settings. As an NHS 111 Clinical Advisor, you will offer key support within the urgent care system, managing a range of patient presentations from physical illnesses to mental health concerns, providing timely and compassionate advice. Your responsibilities include phone-based triage, patient risk assessment, delivering self-care advice, and supporting call handlers during critical incidents to ensure optimal patient outcomes. After six months, hybrid working may be available. This role is for professionals with sound judgment and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

The Role
Are you a registered Nurse or Paramedic with at least two years recent experience in primary care or Emergency Department settings? If so, we would love to hear from you.
As an NHS 111 Clinical Advisor with IC24, you will play a key role within the urgent care system, supporting patients when they need timely, safe and compassionate clinical advice.The role involves managing a wide range of presentations, from physical illness and injury to acute mental health concerns, safeguarding issues and emotional distress, where your assessment and decision-making will directly influence patient outcomes.
Following six months in post, hybrid working may be considered subject to individual performance and service requirements.
In this role, you will apply your clinical knowledge and communication skills to undertake complex phone-based triage, provide appropriate self-care advice or onward referral, and support call handlers during high-pressure situations to ensure patients receive the right care, first time.
As a Clinical Advisor, you will:

Location: Ashford, Kent
Hours Available : Minimum 12 hours per week, up to 37.5 hours per week.
Full-Time Roles: Standard shifts include a mix of early and late shifts. Early shifts start at 7am or 8am. Late shifts finish at 9pm or 10pm. Full-time colleagues can opt to work only late shifts (9pm or 10pm finishes). Full-time night shifts are available, typically 10pm to 6am (must finish no earlier than 6am). Weekend work is required at least every other weekend, with the option to work every weekend if desired.
Part-Time Roles: Part-time shifts are focused mainly on evening hours, with flexibility for early and late shifts. Late shifts: 4pm-10pm (start at 4pm, 5pm, or 6pm; finish at 8pm, 9pm, or 10pm). Weekend only shifts are also available.
We offer 8 hour and 10-hour shifts, as well as some short shifts if needed. Additional hours may be available in times of peak demand.

You must be able to commit to 8 weeks offull-timetraining if you are not pathways trained.
If Pathways trained already, 3 months worth of satisfactory audits will need to be provided.
