Salary: £48,750 - 78,000 per year
Requirements: 5–10 years of relevant automotive engineering experience.Strong experience in automotive diagnostics and feature configuration.Good working knowledge of ISO 14229 / UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services).Strong programming experience with Embedded C/C++.Experience with QNX.Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink.Experience using automotive development and diagnostic tools including Trace32, CANape, Vector tools, JIRA, and Git.Strong software debugging and code-level root-cause analysis skills.Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies such as Fishbone Analysis and 8D.Good understanding of software configuration management and the software development lifecycle.Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Right to work in the UK without requiring Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.Automotive Diagnostics & Feature Configuration experience: 7 years preferred.United Kingdom work authorisation preferred. Responsibilities: Develop, configure, integrate, and validate automotive diagnostic and feature-configuration software.Perform software issue triage, debugging, integration, and vehicle-level testing.Support diagnostic configuration, functionality, and SIMS triage activities.Investigate software defects and perform detailed root-cause analysis.Support corrective actions and resolution of software-related issues.Author and review software requirements using structured methodologies such as EARS.Work closely with cross-functional engineering and software teams in an Agile development environment.Maintain software configuration and change-management processes.Support software verification, validation, and release activities.Take ownership of software issues from initial investigation through root-cause analysis, validation, and resolution.Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and work within structured automotive software development processes. We are looking for an experienced Automotive Diagnostics & Feature Configuration Software Engineer to support the development, integration, validation, and troubleshooting of diagnostic and feature-configuration software for automotive platforms. We offer a pay rate of £25.00-£40.00 per hour, along with life insurance and on-site parking. This is an in-person role, and we are seeking candidates with relevant experience in Automotive Diagnostics, UDS, Embedded C/C++, QNX, MATLAB/Simulink, CANape, Trace32, or Vector tools.
