Salary: £28,000 - 32,000 per year
Requirements: Good working knowledge of Solar PV systems and battery storage.Experience with or knowledge of remote Solar PV monitoring.Experience with Fox ESS inverter and battery systems would be highly desirable.The ability to investigate technical issues logically and methodically.Confidence communicating technical information to customers in a simple and understandable way.Excellent customer service skills and a genuine desire to resolve customer issues.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple support tickets simultaneously.The ability to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.Confidence communicating with manufacturers and technical support teams.Excellent attention to detail when recording information and updating systems.The ability to prioritise a busy workload and work to agreed timescales.Work authorisation in the United Kingdom (required). Responsibilities: Manage a pipeline of Solar PV and battery aftercare support tickets from start to finish.Remotely monitor Solar PV and battery systems and identify faults, performance issues and system alerts.Investigate customer-reported issues and determine the appropriate course of action.Use remote monitoring platforms, primarily Fox ESS, to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.Communicate directly with customers to understand problems and provide clear explanations and solutions.Carry out remote troubleshooting and, where appropriate, guide customers through simple system checks.Liaise with manufacturers and technical support teams to investigate and resolve faults.Arrange firmware updates and other remote remedial actions where required.Coordinate engineer revisits when an issue cannot be resolved remotely.Ensure engineer appointments are booked, tracked and completed within agreed timescales.Work closely with engineers and internal operations teams to ensure all outstanding issues are progressed.Keep customers updated throughout the entire aftercare process.Maintain accurate and detailed records of investigations, actions and outcomes within our CRM and job management systems.Identify recurring technical issues and escalate trends to the relevant internal teams.Take ownership of customer issues rather than simply passing them between departments.Help deliver a consistently high-quality aftercare experience as our company continues to grow. We install systems for customers across England and Wales and work with some of the UKs leading energy companies and renewable partners. As our installation base continues to grow, we are looking for a Solar PV Aftercare & Technical Support Specialist to join our team and take ownership of the aftercare experience for our customers. This is a hands-on customer aftercare and technical support role with a strong focus on proactive communication, remote fault diagnosis and coordinated resolution. The role is in person and offers a salary of £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year, plus a company pension.
