Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements: We require impressive academic credentials, with at least a 2.1 in Computer Science or a closely similar subject from a well-respected university.We require a proven ability to learn new skills and quickly solve problems.We require excellent practical knowledge of the Linux operating system.We require experience deploying and testing software systems, including integrated bespoke hardware.We require strong scripting skills with Bash or Python.We require a solid understanding of standard software engineering tools such as version control with GitHub.We require existing UK work permission without time limit or sponsorship.Knowledge of FPGA-based systems, CI/CD infrastructure, Rust, or Verilog would enhance the application. Responsibilities: We carry out manual system-level testing to ensure software performance and usability.We take the lead on the move towards automation.We deploy finished releases to bespoke FPGA-accelerated Linux systems on-site and overseas.We tackle emergent issues with deployments.We characterise and diagnose problems with the software itself.We provide some out-of-hours support from time to time when needed.
