About this role

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements: We are looking for a recognised technical security professional with practical experience in Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM).We need someone able to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes in complex security, government, defence or industry environments.We are looking for experience developing, implementing and maintaining professional standards, competency frameworks and workforce capability programmes.We expect the ability to apply technical security countermeasures in operational environments.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to build credibility and engage a diverse range of stakeholders.A collaborative approach is needed to share knowledge, support less experienced colleagues, and brief senior managers and customers.A degree would be an advantage, but it is not essential.We are interested in knowledge of the fundamentals underpinning our work, including radio frequency theory, applied physics, electronic and electrical theory, thermodynamics, digital signal processing, acoustics, mechanics and the built environment.You must be willing to undergo vetting to achieve Developed Vetting (DV) clearance before joining us. Responsibilities: We lead the development, implementation and maintenance of technical security skills for UK NACE.We provide strategic leadership and expert advice to ensure practitioners and capabilities remain effective against evolving threats.We help shape the future direction of the technical security specialisation by collaborating with technical threats and operational teams.We develop, enhance and promote UK NACE recommended technical security skills standards across government and industry.We translate technical standards into practical guidance, skills frameworks and career development opportunities.We develop professional pathways aligned with our technical security needs.We build relationships with universities, academic institutions and industry to enhance opportunities and promote technical security qualifications.We champion innovation, professional development and continuous improvement.We represent UK NACE with HMG and our international partners, including at governance boards, professional forums and other events. This permanent full-time role is based at Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes, with occasional travel to London and overseas sites, and a free shuttle bus runs between central Milton Keynes and Hanslope Park.
