Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year
Requirements: Proven experience in an application support, systems support, or similar technical roleStrong, hands-on Linux experience, including command-line use, process management, and troubleshooting system-level issuesSolid Python scripting skills, with the ability to write, read, and maintain scripts for automation and problem resolutionExperience supporting data platforms, data pipelines, or similar data-focused technical environments is highly desirableFamiliarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, or similarExperience with SQL and database troubleshooting is advantageousA methodical, analytical approach to problem solving with strong attention to detailExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersBased within commuting distance of Aylesbury or Milton Keynes for hybrid working requirements Responsibilities: Provide application support for a leading data platform, taking ownership of incidents, problems, and service requests through to resolutionDiagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues across Linux-based environments, identifying root causes and implementing effective fixesWrite, maintain, and optimise Python scripts to automate processes, improve system performance, and support operational efficiencyMonitor platform health and performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact the businessWork closely with development and infrastructure teams to manage releases, deployments, and configuration changesProduce clear and accurate technical documentation, including runbooks, incident reports, and knowledge base articlesLiaise with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to manage and resolve technical issues effectivelyContribute to the continuous improvement of support processes, tools, and practices Technologies: GrafanaSupportLinuxPrometheusPythonSQL More:
